Truth is the truth hurts, don't you agree?
It's harder to live with
the truth about you than
to live with the lies about me.

Time for me to hop on the soapbox.
The caption for this image was, “Do you support our troops or do you support Starbucks?!” These type of images piss me off for one distinct reason, they’re used to coddle the sheep into believing that a large entity (one of fame, usually) is the bad guy. It’s made in order to garner ‘Likes” on Facebook and “Reblogs” on Tumblr. I’d bet my beard that it’s fake, but let’s pretend it’s real…
If this were real…how are Starbucks in the wrong here? Firstly, this image/document suggests that the troops have some sort of entitlement coming to them and that any corporation/business should hand out free goods and services. There’s no doubt in my mind that, yes, the armed forces overseas are doing intense work. I also believe that any  business that wants to give things to them as support or, ‘thanks’ has the right to do so and is often applauded. Saying ‘no,’ because you disagree with the war is absolutely fine. You aren’t required to simply give troops, officers, firefighters, vets, Walmart sales associates, or anyone goods and services for free. As a matter of fact, writing them a letter and asking for free stuff is sort of rude and displays a false sense of self-entitlement.
